What is EntreCard?
It is consider your online blog “business card” in the form of a 125×125 image which represents you and your blog. The concept is to “drop” your EntreCard at other blogs who also has EntreCard widget in their blog. You will earn credit when you drop your EntreCard at other blogs and when other bloggers drop you their EntreCard. You can then use the credits to purchase 125×125 ads in the EntreCard network.

EntreCard is like an ad exchange network but with innovative concept. You get real valuable bloggers visiting to your blog, leave you an EntreCard. Then usually you will check back at their blog and drop them yours.
Currently, there is no official mean to purchase credits except by purchasing from fellow bloggers in the network. To me, this is like a game, visit blogs in the network daily to “drop” your EntreCard to earn credit and checking out who drop theirs into your inbox. It is actually quite tedious to do it daily… so i am not sure how long i will keep visiting… quite fun at the moment 
The thing which i dont like about is the ad only last for 1 day… no way to choose longer duration. And there is no good transaction history / log of how much credit i spent at which ad or how much i earn for ads that i run. I’m sure they will improve the system as time goes.

Hrm. yeah, the day long thing is a little bit unavoidable at the moment. The problem is that we don’t want to “tie up” slots and lock other users out. Artificially limiting the amount of time you can buy was our solution to that..alternative ideas welcome
With regard to more information about credit etc, all that information is available, just didn’t think anyone would really be interested. I’ll bump it up the todo list and see if I can’t get it in there soon.
We’re also looking at revamping the econ a bit, check my blog for details and if you have any feedback, most welcome.

But you’re right, I don’t know when the novelty will wear off. Maybe that’s good though as things get calmer, it balances the economy? Everyone is going click crazy right now

I’m pretty fond of the EntreCard service, it led me here this afternoon. As far as the layout of the site?? Eh, not so much love. I’m partial to Bla.st for their look and feel.

I’m using Entrecard and having a lot of fun with it. It’s brought me some traffic I wouldn’t have had otherwise, and when I’m using it I tend to get off my lazy ass and find out about sites that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. And I love the fact that it’s so laid back. At PhilosophersDeli.com we tend to blog only when we have something someone wants to say. Thanks.

I like Entrecard because of the boost to traffic at my blog. All of the credit contests that people are running got me thinking about what else you could do with credits–I wrote about one of my ideas and am currently trying it out (shameless plug: visit www.sitecash.info to read about it and offer your opinion).
Bottom line is that only time will tell how important this could be for bloggers out there as they evolve the system to increase the benefits of participating.
