There seems to be a lot of interest from everyone wanting to see how the blog income has been going since I ditched all ad networks from SiteFever.com.

It’s only been four days, and we’ve already had more income in-house than we’ve had from the ad networks over the past 6 weeks! Here’s a breakdown:

Sitewide header banner (1 month): $250
In-content text ad sales: $180
Sitewide 100×40 sidebar banner: $35

Total income: $465

You can review all of the ad options from the advertising page. Many options are either CPC or CPM, so you only pay for what you use.

Keep checking back to take a quick look at the “SiteFever-O-Meter”, which is on the right hand sidebar. It will reflect the most recent income figures from the in-house advertising. Eventually, I just may convince some of you to take the “leap of faith” and ditch the ad networks yourself!

4 people had something to say. What do you think?

Well, I hate to do this, but it seems as though someone at DigitalPoint doesn’t like me. After 5 days of having my account suspended, it was reinstated this morning. No sooner did I make 5 or so posts throughout the forum than my account was suspended for another 10 days!

Supposedly, adding “Order was received and your site review is now online. iTrader has also been left.” qualifies as ”thread bumping”. To be honest, I’m becoming quite tired of the moderation being done on DigitalPoint, even though I agree that they are a great resource to be a part of- or else I wouldn’t have been there to begin with. Anytime you talk negatively about anything there, your thread gets deleted and you get your account banned.

Anyway, getting back on topic, I’ve got 110 domain names & websites that I’ve got to sell right away and since I can’t post them anywhere else, I figured I should just get a little sidetracked today and post them here. So, here it goes:

All domains are registered at Godaddy with a free push to your account. They are listed in alphabetical order along with the expiration date and price for each.

8 people had something to say. What do you think?

I try not to get caught up in the PageRank frenzy, but today I decided to use iWebTool’s PageRank prediction tool to see what they thought SiteFever’s new PageRank would turn out to be.

Here’s what I got:

In my opinion, PageRank predictions are all a shot in the dark, but I can’t say that I wouldn’t love to see SiteFever jump from a PR2 to a PR5!

My Google backlinks have been going crazy lately… sometimes I’ll show over 1,000 backlinks and other times only 2 or 3. Yahoo, which is a more accurate source of actual backlinks, consistently shows over 1,500 backlinks to SiteFever.com.

We’ve also been very popular with StumbleUpon lately! Our article published on August 13th, Top 10 Most Unusual But Effective Methods To Increase Your Website Traffic seems to have received a lot of fans! Somebody with the username “Askmanny” decided to submit it to StumbleUpon, and since then we have received over 3,000 unique visitors coming in directly from StumbleUpon in just 48 hours!

The 126 unique visitors for today was as of 8:30am, so we’ll see how high we go today.

If you have not yet participated in our current contest, be sure to check it out- you can win up to $500! For every site that links to SiteFever, I’m throwing $1 into the prize pool up to $500. On September 12, one site that linked to us will be chosen at random to receive the entire prize money! It can’t get much easier than that, so be sure to join the contest

OK. So this video doesn’t have much to do with Internet marketing or SEO, but how could I pass it up?

It probably costs more for the phone company to print, package and ship the bill than it cost them to provide the phone service for the month!

I just wanted to share some interesting statistics with you all about the first six weeks of the SiteFever.com blog.

Yesterday marked the six week mark since SiteFever’s first post, so I was having a look at some statistics about this blog. First, let me point out SiteFever’s current Technorati authority, which is now 63.

Sure, there are a million blogs out there which rank higher than 63, however, when you look at it from a mathematical standpoint, we’re doing pretty well! On average, we’re increasing our authority by about 10 per week.

Next, let’s take a look at our current Technorati Rank, which is 90,112 (no, it’s not #1).

Remember that with your Technorati rank, the closer you are to #1 the better. Of course at first your rank is going to drop pretty quickly, which you can see in the graph above. However, around July 31 you can see that the initial drop has pretty much steadied out, yet out rank continues to inch closer and closer to the #1 spot!

Our daily unique visitors has fluctuated a little bit, but still remained steady:

On average, I’m seeing about 280-300 unique visitors per day visiting SiteFever.com, although over the past week or so it has continued to climb steadily.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal readers, and promise to continue to do my best to provide you with regular informative content designed to improve your online presence.

One month ago today I announced SiteFever’s first contest - $20 to a visitor who subscribes to our RSS feed via email!

Well, as promised I picked one email address at random to win the $20, and the money has been sent via PayPal. They asked that their email address not be published on the site.

This time around, I am creating a contest specifically for website owners so that I can brag about the winner here at SiteFever. Stay tuned- I will announce the new contest later today. Here’s a hint: The amount of money you can win all depends on you!

The Internet is growing at a rate of 10% each month! Television stations, newspapers and governments have started to take notice of this thing called “the Internet”. And believe it or not, there’s not a lot of cursing or swearing!

Well, that’s what they say in this news report from 1987- looks like things have changed a LOT since then.
