Today marks the conclusion of the 11th week since SiteFever.com went online. In those 11 weeks, we have seen 108 posts and 929 comments. 18,224 unique visitors have stopped by SiteFever.com for a total of 29,467 visits. However, we’re going to have to bid farewell.
It’s off to the Andes Mountains and the Amazon River for me. After much thought, I’ll be moving there in about two weeks and believe it or not, the Internet is not readily available in the middle of the rainforest. As for the current 1TB contest, I will pick a winner and send the hard drive next week before I leave.
It’s been an exciting journey up until now, but hopefully another great blogger will take the reins from here. To help fund my trip, SiteFever.com is priced for a quick sale at $1,250 US. Included would be the domains SiteFever.com, SiteFever.info, SiteFever.net and SiteFever.us, and the entire contents of this blog. Here’s an overview of some statistics other than the ones already mentioned:

Thank you all for your support of this blog, and I hope that I brought some valuable information that many of you can apply with your online ventures. I’ll be checking up on SiteFever.com from time to time from cyber cafes in South America to see how its new owner is doing. Who knows… maybe I can appear as a guest blogger every once in a while!

I have been cracking down on some of the spammers visiting SiteFever over the past few weeks. I must say that this has brought some measure of success. I can track three websites that I know of for sure that have been taken offline because I have reported the matter to their hosting company. On one occasion, I was receiving spam emails from a college student using his university assigned .edu subdomain (what an idiot) to post a bunch of garbage about the prescription drug Cialis. Well, needless to say, after a long talk with the universities technical support department, this guy landed himself in a big mess.

Many website owners find themselves having more trouble than they originally planned when attempting to rank well in the search engines. Others don’t understand why their AdWords campaigns charge so much for their keywords. The reason could very well be that the website is using a homograph.
