On September 4, I released the masses on a scavenger hunt in search for this little eye-

Many searched, few found, but only one wins! Congratulations to Austin Luna of ACreativeDesktop.com for winning our scavenger hunt! Your prize: A free copy of FeedGhost PRO 12 month license!

But wait… didn’t I say there were two contest winners? Yes, there are!

If you’re cool enough to subscribe to SiteFever’s full content RSS feed, you would have noticed our hidden RSS contest:

This contest was only visible from our RSS feed, and was not announced or mentioned anywhere else on this blog. (Even though NewsNiche.com leaked the secret) Over 90 people responded to the contest, but again, only one can win. Allan Burns of TextAdSearch.com is our randomly chosen winner!

We need to take a minute to thank our contest sponsor, FeedGhost, who provided the free software licenses. FeedGhost PRO is a great RSS management software that I’ve been using for a little over a month now.

Just because you didn’t win, don’t fret… the guys over at FeedGhost have also been so kind as to give all of my visitors a little bonus. Enter the coupon code “SiteFever” at checkout, and you’ll receive 25% off the purchase price of a PRO license! This coupon code can be used as many times as you’d like, so be sure to let your friends know to use it. You can try it free for 30 days before you decide whether or not you want to use the 25% off coupon and purchase the full PRO version.

Sponsoring a contest is a great way to bring visibility and traffic to your website or product. If you would like to sponsor a contest here on SiteFever.com, let me know!

Congrats alan.

But john can you share the trick to insert hidden rss contents into blogposts like you did in this post with the blogging community. It’ll be of great help as i don’t think there’s any plugin to do this.

I did it all by hand in the PHP code of WordPress. There are a few RSS plugins out there, but none of them do exactly what I want. I am in the process of writing my own plugin which I plan on releasing within the next few weeks. It will have some features to it which I have not seen available anywhere else. I will post it here once its complete.

“Even though NewsNiche.com leaked the secret”

You’ve probably got a few more subscribers as a result, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing :-)

Congrats to the winners! I am using a plugin to put footers on the rss subscribers but it is so outdated. Looking forward to see what you come up with!

Decided to check out Plug IM and found my way to this post only to find out I won. Just have to say that was a fun little hunt.

Right now I only use a feed reader that’s available to all forum members on my site, but I checked out those beautiful screen shots awhile back for FeedGhost and thought wow this looks like a smooth application.

I’ll be posting some type of review that has acreativedesktop.com, sitefever.com, and feedghost.com all tied into one.

Thanks again,

Austin

Did you get my email with the license key? I never heard back from you. If not, I’ll resend it.

Yes I’ve been checking my mail. I wasn’t sure if your email got caught in the spam filter so I searched my mail for “sitefever” and “feedghost” and the only result was the registration email for the 30 day trial of FeedGhost.
