As you can see, the sitewide 468×60 banner that is displayed at the top right of each page on SiteFever.com has become available. FeedGhost’s one month came to an end on September 12 after receiving just over 36,000 impressions.

Of course, SiteFever is growing at a very rapid rate, so I expect the next month to receive well over 40,000 impressions. Unfortunately, there’s nobody advertising there right now to take advantage of that publicity. I have a sneaky suspicion that we’ll see a new advertiser there next Friday, September 21. Why?

Because I’m auctioning off the one and only sitewide 468×60 banner spot on this site, and the highest bidder as of midnight EST on Thursday, September 20 (one week from today) will receive that spot for 30 days!

Bidding starts at $1 and each subsequent bid should be made in at least $1 increments. As always, payments can only be made through PayPal.

If you want the spot but don’t have a banner designed for your site- don’t worry. I can help create one for you free of charge or put you in contact with some other people who wouldn’t mind creating it either.

Who will win the very first auctioned ad space on SiteFever.com? Will it be you? Let the bidding begin!

It might be my screen resolution but it seems like the “new banner” is to big. I’m running 1024×768 on my laptop.

I’ll raise the bid to $2 :9

That’s strange… it’s the same size as the old one. The entire width of this site is only 950px.

I bid $5, do we have to only go up by $1? But you won’t see me again until September 22nd, I don’t usually bid until the last moments!

No, it doesn’t have to be $1 at a time, just minimum of $1.

P.S.- I liked the tutorial you posted today!

I was going to bid $5 as well. I’ll have to check back in a couple of days. If there’s no movement, I might bump the bid. At $30, we’re talking about $1 CPM, which ain’t bad.

What about the little box on the right hand side? Is that up for bid too?
I hate paypal because back in 2000 my credit card number was stolen from there.
They have probably improved their security now but I am still hesitant.

There are still many other advertising opportuntities on this site, but this banner is the only one I’m auctioning off. The rest are all for sale at their regular price. You can see them listed by clicking on “Advertise Here” at the top of any page.

Isn’t that the guy with the square ad? He must be doing good on this site!

Sep 15 2007 at 8:00 am

Or he’s related to John ;o)

I’d love to outbid him, but I just can’t afford it until I start making some bloody money!

Hey, MacEwan – wanna by space on my blog? 😉
