If you’re reading my blog, most likely you are interested in making money from your site without using ad networks. It’s no secret that by selling ads in-house, you have no commissions to pay to anyone, so you keep all profits to yourself. Many blog owners are finally seeing the value in doing so, but have not taken the step. Why? Because without the help of the large ad networks, it can be very difficult for advertisers to find your site. Thanks to ForSaleByPublisher.com, you now have some free help. In this paid review, I will introduce this service so that you can decide whether they can be of benefit to you.

First of all, you don’t have to own a blog to publicize yourself on ForSaleByPublisher. It’s open to any type of website including blogs, static sites and forums. The entire service is free. Whether you’re a publisher or an advertiser, you will want to create a free account. Once your account is created, advertisers will be able to browse all the sites registered with ForSaleByPublisher and view all reported stats, including the types of ads offered, monthly pageviews, visitors, Alexa rank, Google PageRank and more. Depending on the owner’s preference, you will either be given their direct email address or you can send them an email through an online form. From there, you can negotiate your advertising on their site.
Publishers have the ability to list all the details about their site and choose which category they would like to appear in. I added SiteFever.com and within a matter of 24 hours I had 31 people view my site profile. This would allude to the fact that there are people using the site to search for places to advertise. This is a fairly new service, but many site owners who are ready to manage their own in-house advertising are already signing up. You can browse the publishers by visiting http://www.forsalebypublisher.com/sites/channels, but remember- you’ve got to create an account before you can view every single detail about the sites.
One small drawback that I did notice was that once listed, I could not figure out how to update my site details. Beginning September 1, I started offering RSS feed sponsorships. I wanted to add that to my list of advertising options but could not find a way to do it, so be sure that when you do register your site that you include all the information you want shown.
Overall, I will continue to keep SiteFever.com listed with ForSaleByPublisher. I predict that as they gain popularity more and more people are going to see that they make it easier to sell in-house advertising without having to give up any fees or commissions. I figured I had nothing to lose- after all, it’s free!

I signed up with them last week. One person already bought a link on my blogroll from it! So far, so good.

Once my blog gets a higher pagerank (it’s new) I’m going to be looking into this type of advertising, and I’ll definitely bookmark this site and give them a try!

Small piece of advice- don’t wait for PageRank to take your blog to the next step. That little number has no control over what you can accomplish.

Thanks for clearing that up. Sorry I didn’t notice it earlier.
Seems like you’ve gained a lot of popularity around here!
I expect your site to take off well. I hope to get some business from it someday myself.
