Everyone say hello to DirectoryVault.com, our very first paid site review!

DirectoryVault is a HUGE link directory with over 14,000Â sites listed. They are actually the host site of a much larger link directory network of 6 sites with over 54,000 total active links combined.
The first thing I wanted to check out was the price. Usually, when you have a link directory of that size you can expect to pay a pretty penny in order for your site to be listed. Actually, their prices range anywhere from $10.99 for a featured listing all the way down to FREE! Yes, that’s right- free. And it doesn’t even require a reciprocal link.

The layout of the site is very simple and fast loading. The current Google PageRank is displayed next to each site listed. Of course, that’s nothing out of the ordinary from what you would expect from a link directory.
DirectoryVault does, however, have some really cool features and services that you don’t usually see:
1. Submit Service
Their submit service is a manual link directory submission service in which they will submit your website to as many as 900 link directories, thus extensively increasing the link building for your site.
2. Free SEO Tools
Part of the DirectoryVault site is a slew of free SEO tools for you to use including PageRank check, backlink check, link popularity check and a future PageRank prediction tool. All of these tools can provide you with valuable information about your website.

How much does a blog review cost?

Nice review John.
Do you price your reviews according to number of links back to the site, the length of the review and things like that or do you work with a flatrate?

@Samantha & Mikael:
Blog reviews are a minimum 200 words, 3 links and cost $50.

I can always write more words or include additional links, but those are the minimums.

Given that the directory is still PR4, maybe that is why the price is still so less for a featured link. I’d better submit my sites to it before they increase their fee :p

Nice review of directory site, but there are so many directories like that now. And you only get a PR4. Its just one link and you wont get targeted traffic.
Better to just comment on other peoples blogs that remove the no-follow attribute in the comments. I am sure this blog is going to get a better rank!

@ecoshopper: I have noticed more commenting on this blog since I removed nofollow. I think that it will work out best for myself as well as all those who comment.
