Great John! But unfortunately, I have yet to ‘master’ PPC and therefore still sticking toe SEO for now. But I do hear that PPC can be a very good source of traffic.

you need good search engine optimization to get good traffic anyways …

I always lean towards seo over ppc. SEO is a much better investment of time as it will pay off in the future and continue to make you money, whereas ppc will always cost you money(while making some), and requires more work to constantly update your campaigns. All in all, SEO is a much better foundation for any online campaign, but that’s not to say that you can’t do both kick starting the project with PPC, until your SEO pays off.

I have a hard time using PPC if my Blog isn’t selling anything. You can easily drain a lot of money into Adwords.

However, I always use the basic 3 stats to determine where the vistors come from: direct, referrals, and search.

With time, and increasing relevant content (I post 5 days a week) and focus on SEO, I find the number of Search visitors increasing. But those visitors have a huge bounce rate

I think even blogs would benefit from PPC. It’s not a rule of thumb that only product sales should try PPC…And plus the quality score is easy to improve and maintain if you’ve a blog…
